Donaldsonville Photographer Dylan Barbier Featured in New Louisiana Book

‘Louisiana Grind,’ picked up for national distribution.

September 12, 2015 - Donaldsonville, Louisiana

Louisiana author / photographer has recently had his photography book, ‘Louisiana Grind,’ picked up for national distribution by W2G Publishing.  ‘Louisiana Grind’ captures life in south Louisiana from the eye of one her youngest, up-and-coming photographers, Donaldsonville’s Dylan Barbier.

“Dylan has the most incredible eye for capturing ordinary Louisiana life in amazing ways,” according to W2G's CEO,  Gary Dauphin.  “His images capture the spirit of the moment the pictures are snapped, but presents them in a way that drifts between the real and the surreal.  His images pop out at you in ways most people don’t see everyday life.  Readers will be amazed.  We were honored to have been chosen as his national publisher for this terrific book.”

Barbier’s work has already been featured in several galleries and art shows around south Louisiana, and the author has been covered in several area newspapers.

Photos in the new book cover Houmas House and Nottaway plantations, Donaldsonville's historical buildings, shrimp boats on Lake Maurepas, cane tractors, football stadiums, old cars, St. Louis Cathedral and the famous New Orleans French Quarter.

The book is currently sold out on Amazon, and back-orders are being taken on the publisher’s website at www.write2grow.org for delivery in early October.
